Saved my computerized sewing machine from a fire

Long story. I bought a Pfaff computerized sewing machine. Right out of the box, the LCD screen would often display a "Motor Overload" message and stop working briefly. Then in other cases the whole screen went blank and no buttons worked. I searched the internet and found that Jane's plain brown power strip could be the culprit. I looked straight down. I was to blame. The news I read said that the computer is very sensitive to electrical fluctuations. So I bought a surge protector at a big hardware store. The same problems. Also, I once plugged my vacuum into the so-called surge protector and heard a pop and all the lights on it went out. The fried. I then ordered a Tripp Lite 8 power strip with surge protection. I used it for the first time this weekend. I sewed for hours for two days and this sewing machine didn't have a single computer problem, not a single one. And that heavy-duty 25-foot cord is insanely long. I no longer have problems finding the nearest outlet. In addition, each socket has a retractable dust cover that can be closed when not in use. You also get a lifetime warranty and $75,000 lifetime insurance for connected devices. And the prices are so reasonable. I like this network filter. It literally saved my $1,900 sewing machine from a fire.
