Review on Nuance NU462180 Wine Finer by Stacy Harris

After purchasing one of these wines, my friend and I conducted a series of blind tastings over the past few months comparing the taste of Nuance sparkling wine to still wine (the taster not knowing which). I was sure there wouldn't be a really noticeable difference. Wine is just unlikely to change its flavor when cooked through. God I was wrong. Every time we did a tasting of every wine we tasted, there was a clearly noticeable difference. There is no doubt that this really carbonates the wine and changes the taste significantly. However, of the wines we tasted (red and mostly cheap young wines), we actually preferred them still. After aeration, these wines seemed more acidic and less tasty. Having said that, I have to admit that the device clearly serves its purpose and is probably desirable for some wines and some wine lovers, hence 5 stars.
