Lodge EC7D33 Enamelled Cast Iron Roasting Pan

I gave the Lodge EC7D33 Enameled Cast Iron Roasting Pan 5 stars for many reasons. Firstly, with regular use, it showed itself perfectly. I waited 15 months to write this review because time has passed so quickly, but when I buy dishes and kitchenware I usually wait 6-8 months to see if they will last or not. This has held up well. I have been using cast iron cookware for over 30 years. Knowing that enamel is very easy to chip, I treat it like glass. I try not to use metal utensils in it and never soak them in water for a long time before cleaning. As with all cast irons, I always heat them slowly, never dry them, and never heat them directly over high heat as this can cause the enamel to chip or come loose. Just like you warm them up before cleaning, you need to let them cool down first. To clean just my enameled cast iron, I use a worn green Scotch-Brite sponge with some washing-up liquid and a scraper if needed. Mine are still beautiful, white inside and not cracked after years of use. The newest is Lodge EC7D33. I use it weekly and am happy with it so far. If it lasts as long as my old Lodge enameled cast iron cookware, this cookware will last long after I've left.
