I did a lot of research before purchasing and the performance was unacceptable. Setup is easy, the hardware seems to be of good quality, and the cables are very solid. It works BUT. From time to time the screen goes black for 1-2 seconds at random moments. Sometimes he does this over and over again at five second intervals. Sometimes it takes 1-2 minutes for it to happen again. There's no reason I can understand why he's doing this. It seems that the video stream just cuts off completely. It doesn't seem to be related to CPU usage, switching from one application to another, or any other reason. The cables are all firmly and firmly connected. The only thing I can think of is that the switch somehow randomly checks which computer is active and in the process turns off the video, which means the actual switch button is somehow overridden, which isn't good. It could have been a defective unit, whatever the reason, it's so annoying I had to unplug it for a few minutes and send it back.
