It's a whitish color so definitely not clear. I love this stuff, it works great like super glue but is more flexible. It's probably not meant to be used the way I use it, but it works great. I used it for a porch screen. I recommend a screen in your entryway. I've used it on concrete and on a roof as a screen.

There are some things in life that aren't worth skimping on; - Toilet paper - Dental work - Safety gear - CaulkTime will tell if it really does last 10 years but I would trust GE Advanced Silicon a lot more than the private label. If you're trying to weatherproof your home, spend a little more and think of it as insurance.

A problem has recently been identified with several brands. This tube was sealed as expected. However, there was still a layer of somewhat dry/sticky product at the top of the tube. I had to cut the tip very hard and spend/waste some product to finally get permission to use the usable product inside. Wasted probably b25% due. I do not recommend it because of the difficulties and the waste. Will have to look around for other brands.

What can be said about a product that hasn't been said yet that has provided excellent service for decades. I've used this as an adhesive rather than a sealant on some factory doors for my carpentry dust collection system. He glued the plastic parts to the wooden gates, which allowed the various machines to be assembled using hoses and 4 inch PVC pipes leading to the collector itself.

Rule of thumb folks, if you have ANY place for outside air to get in, bugs will find that place too. .In my opinion, GE Silicone II Clear Caulk will last a long time and will definitely perform better than most sealants. It dries to a "cloudy clear" and remember it should not be stained or stained after application. Excellent seal! You have cracks around the house, fill them in as the sealing will more than pay for itself. 5 stars and no less here.

I didn't have a chance to try this product because I didn't figure out how to tear the foil when I was ready to use it. After a lot of frustration I finally googled and found that it can't be opened without a caulking gun!
