Advantages: - Easily suitable for small aquariums. - Extra sponge Cons: - Lets air through the seams (design flaw). I tried to tape the seams at the leak site but then another seam opens up. This is very annoying. The sponge is too buoyant and the filter reclines. This actually causes air to flow out of the water intake. This completely eliminates any filtering. By tilting the sponge in a more even direction, I can see dirt rolling right off the sponge, which means the suction is very weak. Increasing the airflow up or down will not improve the situation. I would not recommend this filter and definitely would not buy another one.
