Seconds to Disaster! The forks broke in half! Clear design flaw.

It really pains me to write this because up to this point I really thought this was a solid, well made, quality scooter. However, this is such a serious problem that when designing this scooter I had to pay attention to the clear and real danger. I bought an Albott Pro Stunt Scooter for my son on May 28th, 2020. I did a lot of research to make sure he wasn't riding garbage and that I wasn't putting my son in careless danger. I'm a big advocate of safety. I'm willing to pay more for the assurance that more expensive products are of better quality, work well, and don't fail at the wrong time. I thought that was what I was buying when I bought this scooter. However, today I found out that I was wrong! During a class at the skate park today 10/23/2021, my 14 year old son, 6ft tall, 126lbs, rode his scooter up and down steep vertical ramps for about 30 minutes as he descended from 8-10 feet. The halfpipe was out and the return transition and SNAP were getting closer! Luckily it powered up and was just up the ramp when the forks decided to let go. If he went down and hit the flat floor of the ramp, it would be bad. Really bad! He was seconds away from disaster! I have two of these scooters that were bought a year apart so I took both apart and found that the old scooter that broke had a design flaw in the fork. If you look closely at the pictures I uploaded, you will see that the broken forks have a chamfered part where the fork stem diameter decreases and becomes smaller. At this beveled point, the forks broke. I also noticed that other customer reviews addressing the same issue have the same beveled design right where the forks broke. However, I have noticed that the new scooter forks are not beveled and the steerer tube is the same diameter top to bottom. Redesign because of all the breakage issues? Maybe. In any case, if Albott hasn't already, I really think they should do the right thing and recall all those old models with this design flaw. Children get hurt, according to a reviewer who uploaded a video of their child's scooter breaking in half after a small rabbit jump and the child falling backwards, sustaining a serious head injury. Not to mention all of the obvious failures my son faced today. It's only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt if Albott doesn't fix the problem.
