This is a decent lock for its niche. You have to take into account that the cable has a certain "slope" when blocked, which can make a difference in some applications. It doesn't matter much, it can be accounted for, but consider this feature if tight tolerances (in and out movement of a blocked cable) are an issue in your application. Install it a click (or more) tighter, knowing the cable will come out a little further after installation. If you do this you will have a decent security lock for cupboard doors etc.
