on second thought. on Sports

EDIT: I've been riding these for a few months now and the soles have gotten so soft that they flex and touch the front wheel when turning which is VERY DANGEROUS. These are pretty decent beginner skates at a bargain price. I'm just getting back into figure skating and don't want to spend a ton upfront. Canvas shoes fit well and are comfortable. The plate is aluminum and the carts and socks feel sturdy. The handy tool that comes with the kit is also welcome. I've modified mine by switching to outdoor wheels (although the included wheels work well on my indoor laminate floors), added another insole for more heel support and replaced the laces as one of the original laces was inside the first few days broke. I've noticed that some of the sewn ends on the shoes are beginning to fray, but clear nail polish or an abrasion tester will fix this. Overall a good start until I'm ready to move on to another pair.

Pros
  • Classic double row design
Cons
  • Short instructions
