Well it's super quiet and on max settings it just pours tons of mist! It is without filter and you can add water. It can display both the room temperature and the current humidity. However, the temperature can only be displayed in Celsius and I couldn't find a way to change it. The color change is quite subtle and a little tricky. To select a static color you have to watch it go through a rainbow of colors and then press a button when it reaches the color you want to stop there. What makes me give it one star is the shrill sound it makes every time you change something on it. If you're trying to set it up while someone is sleeping? You will most likely wake them up. Oh yes, and the instructions do not say anything about what water to fill in. They just say to put some tap water in it. I've never heard of it but my fiancee just screwed it up when she saw me pour tap water in it! Did she say anything about a live amoeba getting into your brain this way? And always use distilled water or something? Hey, I'd at least look into that if you've never heard of it. Aside from those things, however, this humidifier is great! That's why I said that this brand has a lot of potential. Because there isn't much to fix. Many of the problems that other humidifiers face seem to be solved here. What I like best is the spaciousness. This crap can work for a long time! Up to 40 hours!
