Review on πŸ”§ Lower O-Ring for Fuel Tool EFI Check Valve MC200-5 by Peris Holland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked exactly as expected!

Based on some of the reviews I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing these o-rings. But I decided to try and try. I had to use a toothpick to pry out the old o-ring and when I did it came out in pieces. It dried up and fell apart completely when I took it off. I have a 2007 Sportster 883XL and the new o-rings looked too small at first but figured I'd at least give it a try as I have nothing to lose. Before installation I decided to lubricate the o-ring with silicone grease that I use for pool o-rings. I'm sure a pro will tell me this is the wrong lube, but we're talking about such a small o-ring and surface area that I thought it was probably normal. The new o-ring was a little tricky to put on, but I was able to use a bushing that matched the check valve perfectly and put the o-ring right into its seat without twisting it. I think it was also simplified because I didn't try to dry fit the o-ring. - I reconnected the fuel line, put the key in the ignition and set the switch to 'RUN' which pressurizes the fuel pump/line. It used to spill gas everywhere, but the new o-ring did the trick. Not a drop of fuel comes out of the check valve. I've ridden my bike around the block a few times and the physique came out bone dry. So I have to give the product a good rating. It worked as advertised and I really only needed 1 o-ring. So I have a pack of 4 spares to put on the workbench for future use.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Band
