Review on Brita 636178 FBA_35034 Dispenser Ultramax by Andy Ucros

I was between this and the Pur 18 cup dispenser. I've been using the Brita jug for 10 years and I'm happy with it. Couldn't find any convincing feedback on why one pitcher is better than the other. As I already had a year's supply of Brita filters, I chose Brita. This one fell out of the box! In addition, Brita's spout is raised above the floor! You can't pour out all the water even if you tilt it! Now I see some people finding algae in the bottom of their Britas. So I sent it back and received it pure. Having used both I can say that the build quality of the PUR is excellent! More thoughtful and stronger. Unlike the sharp corners inside Brita, PUR is much easier to clean. The HUGE PUR PLUS spout delivers twice as much water as Brita! Pouring from the Brita spout was unbearably slow! After using PUR, my wife and I both love PUR! Thankfully we've finished our year's supply of Brita filters (loss of money!) for the better, PUR!
