No company support.

When I first received the filter I was very happy with it. I wanted to check the quality of the product as it doesn't leak. Convenient to use, etc. A few days ago, the blue faucet handle broke off. I tried to reconnect it but something broke and it wouldn't connect. So I called Brita to get either a new handle or a faucet, depending on what he needs. I was willing to buy anyone who would fix it. When I spoke to Brita (800 24 BRITA) the nice lady on the other end of the phone said they don't…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

I was between this and the Pur 18 cup dispenser. I've been using the Brita jug for 10 years and I'm happy with it. Couldn't find any convincing feedback on why one pitcher is better than the other. As I already had a year's supply of Brita filters, I chose Brita. This one fell out of the box! In addition, Brita's spout is raised above the floor! You can't pour out all the water even if you tilt it! Now I see some people finding algae in the bottom of their Britas. So I sent it back and received

Good capacity and ease of use

My parents have an older version of this filter and when my smaller Brita filter finally died (I dropped it) I decided to use this filter because I had enough Water runs through that I'm tired of filling my smaller one. The large model fits neatly side by side in my fridge and holds quite a bit of water. The water actually filters quite quickly. The top and small filler cap fit fairly well but aren't too difficult to remove and clean regularly, although I have to admit that I leave the small…

Great company, not so good product

Before I get into the negative reviews of the product, I want to say that Brita's customer service has been amazing - very responsive, genuine and I didn't have to jump through hoops to get anything Getting some sort of refund is what keeps me a customer with that alone - but not with this poorly constructed 18-cup dispenser. I never looked for this product myself - it came with the apartment we rented. After a long flight and thirst, I found an empty dispenser in the fridge and had to refill…

Brita filter: clean safe water, NO bottles, BIG savings

A bonus for us when we bought our house in the mountains was that it had free water from a deep well. It is fed by a spring and naturally filtered through an underground rocky aquifer. The water is sparkling, clear and cold with a slightly metallic taste. The metallic taste of the water was barely perceptible straight from the tap, but not when preparing drinks. The metallic taste intensified in Iced Tea and Kulayde. Hot coffee had a bitter aftertaste, and soups and broths had a pronounced…
