Polishing. . It is not obvious and different pads are used differently for certain materials. No application instructions are included with the product. I ordered these, after looking for the right pads for my Dremel tool. There's really nothing Dremel about this product and the 3" is just a mounting pad. Expect mainly 6" orbital pads and rate these measures according to your project. You will receive the items in an unlabeled plastic box (manufacturer's name not even attached). ).
