I didn't buy it for regular use. I had to break 2 mattresses because our local junkyard was closed to the public (due to Covid). After removing all the fabric and stuffing I was left with 2 very strong sets of springs and bobbins. I decided to buy bolt cutters and cut them all to make them easier to throw away. These bolt cutters worked surprisingly well. I had to cut each spring and coil because they were all connected and then I had to cut the outer wire wrap into small pieces. We're talking maybe 1000 coils total and probably 500 sets of springs. That took me all day. I figured I would use them for work and then have to throw them away, but they never got boring. They easily cut each piece and now sit in the cupboard waiting for the next use. Again, I have no idea how this affects deadbolts or locks. But for something like fence cutting, they're probably fine.
