Review on 🎧 Fosi Audio P2: Vacuum Tube Headphone Amplifier for Unmatched Hi-Fi Stereo Audio Quality with Low Ground Noise and Output Protection by Tony Weber

Great sound, questionable structure. You get what you pay for.

First, let me say that if you are looking for a cheap headphone amp, you are making a good choice here. Paired with a Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilees, I get a killer bedroom for just over $200. Another reason I bought this amp was so I could connect my AT-LP60 to it and listen to the recordings through my headphones. It doesn't work well for a reason I'll talk about in a moment: ports. This amp was built with very cheap connectors to keep costs down. The 3.5mm connector on the back often causes an electrical hum from whatever is plugged into the amp, which can be corrected by twisting the cable in the connector and changing the direction and point of pressure. It's okay, but it's a clear sign of the quality of some of the components in this device. Having to fiddle with it for about a minute or so once a week to get it right isn't really a problem though. However, RCA inputs are much worse. They just sound bad, to the point where every time I decide to give them another try I'm reminded how awful the RCA inputs sound. The lights, power button, audio out, and volume control all work great. TL; DR: This amp has a great sound for $50. For this price, however, you sacrifice build quality and component quality.
