I was very hesitant to buy a cheap imported plasma cutter but I just can't afford to buy blue, red or gray brands. I had a big project planned and decided to take a chance. I was just stunned! I've only been using it for 2 weeks but I can't stop! I've used it in every project imaginable just to make sure if it breaks it will break within Revain's return period. I've even used it to cut angled and narrow bars instead of using a chop saw. I didn't even have the hiccups from it and it worked absolutely flawlessly! The claimed cutting performance is actually conservative. I have no problem cutting 1/2" stock and I even made a small piece of 3/4" sheet for fun. It wasn't very pretty, but it was more than acceptable for rough trimming or cutting off the heads of large screws. Of course, an angle grinder is better! I've used this thing for thick materials, thin materials, and everything in between. I've even used it to rough cut the bottom rail mounts instead of using a trim saw just to spend a couple of hours with it and it goes straight. I even used a scrap sheet for fun, cut out some signs and attached them to my dog crates. My wife loved it! Consumable life is really great! I think people who complain about consumable lifespans either have unrealistic expectations or maybe need to work on their technique. It also uses normal pt31 consumables, so there is no need to use the more expensive Lotos brand consumables, although the consumables that came with the unit lasted longer than the ones I ordered as a replacement. In fact, the Lotos brand might be worth buying in the long run, although I haven't tried the nickel one yet. I have no problem recommending this plasma cutter to anyone looking for a cheap but great machine.
