Surprisingly I like a lot more about G5: Form factor. The extra length and thin bezels don't make it any more useful, just heavier/longer and less pocketable. Also, with tiny bezels, it's inevitable that fingers will wrap around and hide or touch things. The advertised sound of the speaker is actually significantly worse than that of the g5 under all circumstances. The non-replaceable battery annoys me. Replacing the battery with the g5 extended the life of the device. The vaunted audio from the g7's headphone jack is too quiet to be heard on my Grado headphones, I've been using bluetooth phones after all so I prefer the g5 too. What I like best: Significantly brighter screen. Too blue, but it's adjustable. Works with the new 600MHz bands. Waterproof. It picks up GPS and cellular signals better.
