Let me start by saying I haven't used this on my truck yet. I destroyed a stage on my Kubota tractor and it cost a lot more to replace than it did to replace that stage. Was looking for an inexpensive alternative to the factory level and bought this. Wanted to make sure it didn't rust. I read other reviews and the only relevant criticism was that the screws holding the kick plate were rusty. A few bucks later and I replaced them all with stainless ones. This worked great for me even though I used it in a non-standard application.
