Will not fit Hakko FX-888D - requires gasket
I figured since the product description clearly states that the tips fit the Hakko FX-888D the conflicting product reviews must be wrong No the reviews are correct the tips cover that Hakko FX-888D ceramic heating element. There is a 1/8" gap between the bottom of the tip and the base of the pen. You need a gasket or you risk damaging the heating element. A little annoying but other than that the tips are good processed.
- Compatible with many 1/4" ceramic inner heater Weller ST series irons on many Hakko models. Iron tip that still fits into the 1/4" tip chamber of the Weller ST series iron will fit
