The item arrived on time but the packaging was a little suspicious. I was worried that the generator would be damaged because the box was in a rough state when it arrived. Happy to report no physical harm, cool little asshole! I've had the alternator on my 2005 Mercury Montego for about 3 weeks and no problems to report. I definitely recommend DB Electrical alternator, good price and good product to download! I will let you know if anything changes. Removing and installing the alternator on a 2005 Mercury Montego will test your patience! The generator is located on the front wall of the passenger bike (all metal). You must remove the front passenger wheel to gain access and clearance. There are a few good videos on YouTube that will help. I believe there are only 3 connectors and a few bolts connecting the alternator to the car. I recommend loosening rather than removing objects around the alternator, this will help maneuver the alternator out of the tight space it is in.
