This is a lovely carafe that comes in a very nice box BUT the glass it is made of is so thin at the widest part of the vessel I can't imagine can that someone actually used them. it for any period of time without hurting it. After the first use I rinsed it off and laid it on its side on a thin kitchen towel to dry. After I set it down, it slowly rolled off the flimsy kitchen towel and onto the counter. This was enough to rip a hole the size of a golf ball in the side of the decanter and spoil it. The broken glass was as thick as a cheap Christmas bauble. Very disappointing.
