We were looking for a good cookware set at a good price. The problem is that budget sets tend to be junk and/or have some lid tricks that make them impossible to clean. They also tend to have odd sized pots or tiny pots that make you spend more money and you have to be stuck with an item you don't need. This Nordicware set is the perfect minimalist set. Just what you need, designed to perfection. The pans are made of thick aluminum and are very smooth. We could not determine any deformation or detachment of the non-stick coating. We even abuse these pans by putting them in the dishwasher. The handle's rubber cover can be removed to place in the oven. I couldn't find anything that indicated oven safe temperatures, but I assume 350F is safe. The only complaint I might come across is the lack of a 12 inch pan. per second. Apparently the price has gone up since I bought this set.
