Review on Vixen Horns 120 150 Pressure VXA7150 by Tim Crowder

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works as advertised.

The review is for the switch that replaced this one which is said to be the same switch from the same company. This is a replacement for the original which failed on the horn on the boat. The original lasted about 9 years in the marine environment. The original's failure mode was bad. It didn't work in the "on" position. It didn't turn off and the compressor worked until the compressor failed. Luckily my tank is rated for 200psi because that's what the gauge read when I got it. Rusted safety seat valve from the same company. In any case, this may or may not apply to a new switch in 9 years time as I don't know if they buy the switches from the same place or if they changed the design. Now I check the pressure gauge when the compressor cuts out, listen to make sure it cuts out, and manually pull the relief valve to make sure it's working. It has nothing to do with that switch, but all of that would be unnecessary if the failure mode was in the off position, not on.
