With a little help it's almost perfect.

This bit is almost perfect. With a little help she gets the job done. I used this bit to drill a few extra holes in the Ikea Domsjo farmhouse sink since it only has one hole and i had to add an air gap fixture and my wife only had to make a small hole for the soap dispenser.Since the drill doesn't come with a pilot bit to keep the drill stable I used a 2×4 scrap piece and used another hole bit to cut the same hole in the wood. This will also keep you from splintering your material as the beat will dance around you without it.As you can see I have some shavings in the Sink, near the hole where the bit started to tremble a little It only happened after I took off my wooden guide block to see my progress and I decided I would dug deep enough into my material that I didn't need it. NOT CORRECT. So you see chips. The key is to use a block of wood and be patient. Very little or no pressure on the drill and drilling at a snail's pace. Oh, I also had my son spray ice water on the work area every few seconds while I was drilling. This keeps the racquet in top condition. You won't even see any wear on the bit's diamond coating. I wish there were more holes to drill.

Pros
  • STANDARD 3/8 shank for standard electric or cordless drills. Depth of cut 1-1/8"
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for elderly
