Review on πŸ”Œ DIGITEN Sensor Control Solenoid Display by Jose Guevara

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great addition to electric range

I've wanted a water flow meter with magnet for brewing for a long time but couldn't find anything in my price range with good reviews and gallons before this unit became available (I've been looking for one for several years) . It was easy enough to assemble and set up. I had to use multiple NPT 1/2" threaded connectors since all connectors are male (I would have been more comfortable if the magnet had female NPT threads on both sides). Calibration took about half an hour. Constant k for my flow and mine Fittings I was able to pinpoint it to a weight of 1.5 ounces per gallon - I first calibrated with a gallon milk jug to get it close and then fine tuned it on the scale using the density of a gallon of water To be honest the solenoid is of questionable quality but I plan on buying a better quality one to have on hand and I hope it lasts a long time At least one thread for my system is that the Temperature sensor uses an M8 thread, and as the connections are NPT I'm not entirely clear on this, I settled on a 1/2" NPT male, drilled out the end and then bought M8 taps and tapped around myself e Making a sleeve so I could take the temperature. It worked fine in the end, but it would be better to have 1/4"NPT or 1/8"NPT for it. activated the solenoid many times during calibration. It would be better if the power supply was rated for more than 2A as the controller can output up to 5A to the solenoid, but that's no big deal, I can either get a higher rated power supply or use a separate solid state relay.
