If the photos in the description were taken at such an angle that you could actually see what the pins look like I would never have bought these looms. They are made in the same way as the Boye brand, where the needle point is like a hook on a crochet hook. If you're working with 4 weight yarn, you think you've lost the thread, but it gets caught on the needle. And the groove in the pin is barely wide or deep enough for the loom hook to reach in to grab the yarn and pull it through. So you have to reach to the edge of the thread cut to grab it and pull to make sure you cut the entire thread, otherwise you will end up splitting the strands. I finally gave in and ordered the real brand.
