I've had +9dB mega antennas on my wifi cameras when using a single wifi router. At some point I switched to a mesh radio system. Shortly thereafter, my cameras randomly appeared and disappeared again. I was very confused when I read that Wi-Fi signals are too hot, channels overlap, multipath, etc. Then I thought maybe the antennas are picking up too much and causing interference. I bought these as they were the closest match to my original camera antennas and not a single camera lost signal for a month. If your application requires standard antennas, they will work for both 2.4 and 5GHz (I have cameras on both).
