We have been using the filter for about a month and are very happy with it. We had a sediment filter, but due to the higher iron levels in the water, our softener didn't filter out the iron smell. We were advised to buy a carbon filter to eliminate the smell. I have found this filter to remove sediment larger than 1 micron so thought it would be great to try. I was quite skeptical that this would remove the smell from our water but it was worth it. The smell was eliminated immediately. I believe and hope that the filter will last many months before we have to replace it. Very happy with this purchase!
