A great way to take your phone on a trip!
I used it for the first time on a 5 hour mountain bike ride through the mountains. The last 3 hours of it I was caught by very heavy rain. My Samsung S8 is waterproof and I didn't use a rain cover as I used my phone for GPS navigation. The bag is waterproof without a rain cover but has protected from rain for quite a while. On short trips in light rain, the bag usually stays dry without a cover. But if you're carrying something that needs to stay dry, use a pouch or put things that need to stay dry in a zippered bag.
