I have a DolFyn water still unit. [A30D model] City water entering the inlet valve must be very clean, otherwise the electric inlet valve will fail and its replacement will be very expensive. Plus, the unfiltered water going into the cooking chamber means you have to clean it more often, which is a hassle and doesn't come cheap. This 5 micron Omnipure filter effectively filters sediment. I used my old one for 2 years before replacing it. I cut an old filter in half to examine the filter media and found that it was evenly filled with tap water residue. [Your tap water source may need to be replaced more frequently.] This filter is extremely easy to replace. Just slip a 1/4" hose into the end of the filter and it will waterproof. Just make sure you snip the inlet and outlet hose a little each time to allow the hose to go where it meets the ends of the filter entering the filter is smooth. Make sure the water flow direction matches the flow arrow printed on the filter. This filter is a must have for any still owner to avoid costly maintenance. The price was about half that of local retail. The Delivery was a day later but given that it was during the Christmas and New Year holidays is not unreasonable.Very happy with this filter and the seller.
