I have tried almost all types of oil filter wrenches. I have crappy plastics that only fit a certain diameter and slip under torque. I have a belt that is slipping and won't fit in today's cramped engine bays. I have pliers that work well if you get the right angle in the engine bay and have room to turn them. Neither of them will help me on my two current cars that have oil filters stuck in a slot with no room. to maneuver. I spent an hour in the driveway after an idiot overtightened the filter, desperately trying to get some leverage and crank it up. This tool comes to the rescue! It adjusts to different filter sizes, attaches from the bottom (not the side), and REALLY works! Where have you been all my life!?!?!
