Superb oil filter puller

When you take your car to a garage for an oil change, the oil filter is always tightened. I had a hard time removing the oil filter from my 2003 Toyota Corolla due to its awkward location and oil filter placement, but using the Lisle 63600 Oil Filter Tool it snapped into place with a 3/8 socket wrench. The oil filter tool is supplied lubricated and shrink-wrapped. So if you're worried about getting your hands dirty, use gloves. When turned clockwise, the oil filter tool expands 4 inches inโ€ฆ

Get this! in Oil Filter Wrench

I have tried almost all types of oil filter wrenches. I have crappy plastics that only fit a certain diameter and slip under torque. I have a belt that is slipping and won't fit in today's cramped engine bays. I have pliers that work well if you get the right angle in the engine bay and have room to turn them. Neither of them will help me on my two current cars that have oil filters stuck in a slot with no room. to maneuver. I spent an hour in the driveway after an idiot overtightened theโ€ฆ

Ideal for stuck filters. . .

My filter was stuck in a narrow spot where I couldn't get my hands on it. Other instruments would just slide and spin on the filter, so I ordered this one. There is also no space for a belt key. The only other option would have been to pierce the filter with a screwdriver and twist it, but there wasn't room for even that. This tool grips the filter and bites the metal as it rotates, allowing it to pull out even the most stuck filters. The filter may not be usable, but that is why you are usingโ€ฆ

Proezdil 20 years without oil filter

Ridiculous. I've worked on every car I've had since I was 18 and it was the first oil wrench I ever bought. 26 years later. Now I have a Chevy Volt that looks rusty underneath and I was worried I wouldn't be able to remove the filter. Getting old sucks, and honestly I'm tired of crippling my hands and never knowing if the filters actually move. It was a little tricky, but ONLY because I didn't want to jack the car up, so I did it. blindly with left hand, lying on back. Not perfect, but itโ€ฆ

Works well with 2014 Honda CR-V oil filters

I had a pliers style oil filter wrench for my Toyota Sienna that was a bit large; It was also more difficult to operate, even when fitting, due to the way the CR-V's oil filter is arranged. After some research I bought a Lisle 63600 although I wasn't 100% sure it would work as Revain's user reviews are mixed. I'm glad I ordered it as it worked very well. It works with a couple of filters for my 2014 CR-V: - Honda OEM oil filter - Union Sangyo C-562 Pros: - Excellent build quality, made fromโ€ฆ

High quality oil filter wrench MADE IN USA!

This is a high quality, heavy duty oil filter wrench MADE IN USA! This was important to me in my purchasing decision as I service multiple vehicles and like to buy quality tools made in the USA and expect them to last a lifetime (mine anyway). There are some reviews saying it was made in the USA (old reviews mostly) and while it was hard to read the picture seemed to have a US stamp on it, but the last review I read, said it was done "done". in China โ€(although only one has said so - eitherโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Upgrades

When I changed the fuel and oil filters on my van including the Onan diesel generator set last year, I had a problem with the Fram replacement oil filter on the generator set leaking. I've never had this before and had to tighten the filter with a wrench to stop the leak. It is located under the generator in a small secluded compartment in a horizontal position, and access and visibility are difficult. When it came to the routine filter change this year, the Fram wouldn't budge, which of course
