I think the case fans will only last a few years so it's time to replace the two case fans on the front of my CoolerMaster. They have breathed their last. The Conisy fans seemed likely to be replacement fans and the installation went well enough. What to do with old fan wires well hidden in their wiring harnesses? Just cut them off. New fans in bright red, almost like a rear fan that is still running; This is connected to the motherboard and if that also fails it will take a few more scratches to connect it. In any case, the new fans are silent. Yes I checked and they rotate. I know I have a bit of hearing loss, but I can't hear new fans at all. And the computer is right under my desk on the floor. The hard drive is louder than the fans. These fans are very cute; I highly recommend them. Maybe I should take the rear fan blue?
