This should be a fan heater. Mostly blowing hot air into the room or just running the fan. The problem is that the fan blows the air with the same force as a newborn baby waving a fan at you. You must be less than half an inch from the device to feel air movement. My husband and I placed it in our room with the door half open and the heat from the unit never reached our bed. We even tested it in a room with the doors and windows closed. The only part of the room was the corner where this unit stood. There isn't enough force to push the air out of the block. It's basically just a somewhat fancy heater, but for the price it's rubbish (sorry for using a better term). Heat dissipation is good, but without a way to dissipate heat, it's no better than a cheap heater. It still pales in comparison to a completely non-functioning temperature control. Setting the device to 40°F was almost the same heat dissipation as setting the device to 95°F. Plus or minus 5° is full fabrication. This thing puts out the exact same heat no matter what temperature it's set to. If you found that bad, there are 2 more things that bring this device and the company's advertising down even more points. The oscillation is only about 45° fan. In fact, that's half the standard 90° rotation that even cheap fans have, and a quarter of the 180° rotation that similar models in the same price range have. Flat 0 stars should have been an option here. Finally, the remote control is a joke. Sometimes it makes a difference and sometimes it doesn't. It will beep, but looking up nothing changes in some cases. I've been sitting there trying to cycle through different modes and it hangs in one mode until you turn it off. The system is riddled with bugs that seem to prevent it from responding to a remote alarm. Overall a cheap product, poor engineering, poor performance, poor digital system, poor remote control system, but all for a fairly expensive tower unit. If you are looking for a beautifully crafted piece made from fancy plastic, look no further. It's about as good as a doorstop except they cost a few dollars, which is about $70. You would be crazy if you bought it. What's more, they won't refund you for the product and will still send you a replacement that doesn't work. I never asked for a replacement, I asked for a refund and never got one.
