This knife is essential for anyone who takes their kitchen seriously. I've had the Chicago cutlery set for years and have always loved it. I just bought a 6 inch chef's knife and a 4 inch utility knife for our kitchen. The chef's knife is just awesome. It gets along quickly with everything I've used so far. It has an extremely sharp edge right out of the box and after a few uses the edge is flawless. This knife exudes excellence. I will now buy the whole set as I have had the pleasure of using them. I'm no chef or culinary expert, but I know what feels good in my hand and I know quality when I feel it.
