Poor quality good for knife sets

Just unwrapped my 6" Wüsthof Classic chef's knife and what a disappointment. Immediately noticed a bent and jagged point. This is not the expected quality for a half price knife.

Ultra sharp, comfortable to hold and use

This is a premium chef's knife in design and construction that has stood the test of time (ideal weight, comfortable to hold, solid construction, easy to use) . sharpen). My last one lasted 20 years and I only had to replace it because I dropped it and the tip broke off. I would recommend this knife. It's definitely an investment, but if you take care of it, it will last for decades.

Fantastic knife, treat yourself!

That's Wustoff, what more can I say? Well balanced, sharp as can be, sharpens well and slices meat and veggies like a champ while staying sharp for a long time. I have an 8 inch chef's knife but I bought it because it was easier to use. I do 95% of what I do. I use a larger 8 inch meat slicer. You can't go wrong with German steel. If this knife is in your budget, don't buy any other knife. In addition, like all good knives, it must not be washed in the dishwasher. This dulls the blade (any…

The best kitchen knife I've ever owned.

This knife is essential for anyone who takes their kitchen seriously. I've had the Chicago cutlery set for years and have always loved it. I just bought a 6 inch chef's knife and a 4 inch utility knife for our kitchen. The chef's knife is just awesome. It gets along quickly with everything I've used so far. It has an extremely sharp edge right out of the box and after a few uses the edge is flawless. This knife exudes excellence. I will now buy the whole set as I have had the pleasure of using…

This thing is a beast

This knife is something special - your guests may not have seen a knife this size before (it's not comically large, just decently large). However, where it shines with form, it also fulfills function - the weight of this blade gives you much more freedom to cut quickly and the reel makes it less intimidating to use. There are probably more stylish options out there, but by no means is this line or knife purely utilitarian. I haven't tried it on zucchini, melons, or large chunks of meat, but…

Comes in a box! best in cutlery and knife accessories

I had the opportunity to test ikon and classic and in the end I liked the classic better. The balance and lighter weight were more to my liking. This knife replaces the old Hampton and Victorinox knives for $15. I also took it to my Spyderco sharpener with 30 degree angles and it sharpened perfectly. I usually sharpen/sharpen my knives every few cooking sessions to keep them going. I also bought it directly from Amazon. I saw another link for an 8 inch Wusthof but noticed people have complained

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Sad packaging

The gold standard for chef's utility knives

If you have one knife, this one should be it. I've been a professional chef for over a decade and I still use my 8" Wüsthof chef's knife that I bought for cooking school 11 years ago. The kitchen team went along with it and received it as a gift to one of our colleagues. The weight and balance are great immaculate, it holds a very good edge and is easy to sharpen. The 8" Full Roller Chef's Knife is the most versatile knife you can have. My 11 year old knife was sharpened about halfway to the…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other knives
