Loved these drill bits for large holes
They work much better than Silver & Deming's large drill bits for drilling large holes because you only remove metal around the perimeter instead. the entire area of the hole. They come with a 3/4" shank that won't fit most power drills without an adapter; and I don't think I would use them with a hand drill. I use mine with a mini router bit with a Tormach TTS collet in an R8 adapter. You want to run them really slow, with light feed and lots of coolant; but in their intended application they are invincible.
