I bought this as the final component of the cold air intake system I installed on my '79 Corvette. I used a single inlet Specter chamber and a 45 degree straight pipe to connect the carburetor to the hood area. I cut a hole in the wall from the hood to the engine compartment to go through the 4" pipe. Holy shit! You won't believe the power increase I got with this setup. I would appreciate a 5 percent power increase. Also if this doesn't seem like much at first glance, consider the numbers: my original output was around 400 hp. Adding 5 percent means 20 extra hp! And it's "free" power, which means that it doesn't take more fuel to get them It just improves efficiency And no problem with vapor locks stuck in traffic on 35 degree summer days here in Florida Best thing I've put on my Vette since big aluminum ports/big valve heads .
