Review on Gibson Performance Exhaust 55162S Stainless by Cedric Ford

This muffler is typically of excellent Gibson quality. It uses Gibson Convergent Flow (CFT) technology to deliver the best low-to-mid range torque used for everyday driving. The holes are 2.5 inches and the inlet is in the middle. The muffler is not reversible and must be installed with the correct inlet/outlet orientation. In addition to chambers and baffles, the inner tubes have fins to reduce noise. I installed this muffler on a V-6 Ranger truck. There's a very pleasant moderate sound, it's not too loud and it's not boomy at all. There seems to be better throttle response at low speeds, which Gibson says there should be. This is my second Gibson muffler and I would buy another one. If you have a high-rpm drag car, look elsewhere, but for a lower-rpm truck, this is a good choice. Last but not least, it is made in the USA.
