Works great! It only took me 5 minutes to install. I should also start off by saying that I just swapped out the backs, which took a lot longer because I was too careful when removing them. Look for installation videos on YouTube, they are very helpful. However. To the review! I first removed the bottom part (closest to the window) with a large flat head screwdriver and then simply removed the top part by pulling it away from the hood. The new one slides in with little effort. In terms of performance, I feel like they're even better than the OEM when the machine was brand new. I can't even remember if the hood opened by itself before that. but it's happening now! Once the hood has disengaged from its latch latch, you can let go of it and watch it straighten up on its own. There is also noticeably more resistance when closing. Not enough to make it difficult to close, but enough to make it noticeable. Very glad I bought them. The dealer asked $200 to replace it. I only spent a tenth of that! Good product!
