Review on Ezcap284 Video Capture: All-in-One 1080P Game Capture Card via HDMI/Ypbpr/AV Input with Remote Control - Compatible with Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, N64, and Blu-Ray by Antonio Fox

Got this after trying another capture card that failed on arrival. It was a bit of a hassle to get started, but once it did, it recorded everything I ran through component cables and the HDMI port. It comes with the device itself, a USB connector to connect the device to a computer or an included power supply, and an adapter that can accept both component and composite inputs. However, no HDMI cables are included, although one is required for output and the other for each HDMI input. I bought it instead of Elgato because the price was too high. My biggest problem was ultimately the initial installation. Hooking it up is easy, but the disk that came with the device didn't have an autorun, so I had to look for the installers myself. I didn't realize that apparently for Windows 7 machines I had to run the second installer, Windows Update, which meant I had to reboot the machine twice. But once I got it working, it worked like a charm. Small artifacts and colors are a bit weaker on capture, but that's pretty much what I see on TV. Another minor downside is that the encoding process means the capture output is about 1.5-2 seconds behind. The output to your TV has no lag, but if you're recording with OBS, you'll need a TV or second monitor to play video games. Also, the capture card doesn't seem to work if it doesn't have a TV to output to anyway. Also a slight hum on component cables. It appears to be muted when the source is playing audio. While that doesn't bother me because I don't write to a USB drive or SD card, the manufacturer has acknowledged that the card's own write capability is inexplicably unable to write beyond a certain size limit, and attempting to do so is the file, so you basically need to know your limit and then become a pro at timing with that limit. I recommend that you connect it to your computer and burn it with OBS or another burning program, since you don't have to worry about the on-board burning system at all. Overall it works better than I expected. I used HDMI from Nintendo Switch and it worked fantastic. Used a component from PS3 and it worked fine too, albeit with the aforementioned buzz. Excellent quality gives it a 4th star, painful initial setup and no HDMI cable, and crappy onboard recordings keep it from 5th place.
