I have a special boat cover attached to a rope.
I have a special boat case that has ropes on both sides as it may be on a lift so it is not possible to tighten the case from the back . They are small enough to fit in a velcro pocket built into the case to avoid scratching the gelcoat sides of the boat. And they seem to work well by pulling the boat cover apron rope taut. A nominal weight of 100 pounds is sufficient.
