Excellent training balls. I used Callaway HX foam balls, which are pretty decent. Much better than other styrofoam balls or useless jerk balls. But these "almost" balls are superior to Styrofoam balls in every way. First, they are heavier (dense?). They weigh 14 grams and the HX balls weigh 8 grams. This might not be a big deal given that a real ball is a size 45, but it isn't. Second, this ball has a harder outer layer so it can be compressed, unlike a foam ball which only compresses. Thirdly, I can practice drawing, fading and turning backwards with this ball. It is very similar to a real ball. As for dealing damage, I doubt it. I think you have to smack him straight out the window from 20 feet to get him to do anything. And even then probably without damage. I hit them in the net with R-Motion and while they aren't as accurate as a real ball, they are way better than foam. Of course, when used indoors they can knock something over, but anything that can bounce at 140mph has that disadvantage. To avoid this, I placed an old sleeping bag at the base of the net to "catch" the ball. So far it has worked. All in all, if you hit the ball indoors and are suspicious of hitting real balls, this is by far the best option if you still want relatively real touch. A downside is that they are a bit pricey. . Not bad, but 18 99 for 10 is somewhere in between. 14.99 would be the best place where this product would really shine. I still recommend them.
