Lightweight, efficient and compatible
I bought two of these scanners for a small library project. Overall I like the product but will not give five stars because as others have said the scanner needs to make flat contact with the surface the barcode is printed on to read the code effectively. Also, I was glad that this scanner is truly "plug and play" on my Intel Macs, even without software. Of course, Mac users are used to this for almost all peripherals, but the fact that this scanner did just what it was supposed to do without its own proprietary software really raised its profile in my eyes. If you are looking for a good option to get your work done, this scanner is a good choice.
