These skates are good for the price but buyers should be aware. The brake/stopper on this skate is NOT a real brake! It's hard plastic that slides right under you. How do I know? I took them out for a quick test run and as I stopped, my leg slipped right under me and I slammed back down to the ground, effectively fracturing my sternum as both my wrists hit the ground, dealing a devastating blow to my sternum . I couldn't understand what happened and then I looked at the brakes. Hard and smooth plastic. No bottleneck at all. I need to buy a real brake replacement. I wish I had known that beforehand to avoid injury.
