Tried these on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (JL) with stock 33" tires (factory upgraded rims I think) and a pair Brass The steps at the end of the valve stem are still visible. Perhaps there is a seal in the cap or something that could be squeezed when I get the pliers to screw it further, but I won't have pliers with me to access the stem valve and I didn't want to risk damaging the valve stem or the product.
