To be honest, I just don't see myself being able to use other microcontrollers without Wi-Fi for my projects. I had to do some library shopping to get it working, but I think most of it was just inexperience on my part. The project pictured above is an MQ four sensor gas analyzer with an OLED display powered by a 5V USB power supply C. 5V is used to power the sensors and a small fan, of air circulates while the MPU runs at 3.3 VI. Bought a second set of three, an expansion board and some Grove patch cords. To be honest I don't know if I will use an expansion board as I haven't had much trouble experimenting with them on multiple I2C devices. The expansion board has a debug interface which I might need one day. If you don't need Wi-Fi or BLE ESP32/8266 I would recommend this microcontroller. I used YouTube for all my initial research and then the manufacturer's website and forums. I develop with PlatformIO, but could also program with the Arduino IDE.
