Factory: Grille and Brush Guard

Looks good on my 2004 Avalanche. I installed a 12000lbs hidden winch mount. Smittybilt winch with synthetic rope (MUCH better than wire rope (rope). And that was the finishing touch. I modified the skid plate a bit and then bolted the top to the lower front of the winch mount. I did this to have access to the Winch cable I just need to finish it off with a top tab cover. I connected the fuse wire to the battery positive terminal on the back of my generator and grounded it to the firewall and then hid all the wires in the factory cable covers. There are no holes in the firewall which are accessible without removing half of the dash. Also the switch has two LEDs, red for off and green for on, so if the battery is connected directly one of them will be constantly lit. I think one LED that this indicating will be enough, but I think if it's dark the other one will help you find it.

Pros
  • Grille and Guard
Cons
  • Everything OK
