Easy to attach by hooking it to a mirror, grasping the edge of the cover, going to the other side and hooking this mirror. I bought this to cover a broken window on my old car to keep out the rain. I highly recommend it if you're in a situation where you can't fix a window right away. Last night I used it on my new car to keep snow off the windshield. It worked wonderfully. I brushed the snow off the roof and back of the car and didn't bother shaking off the cover because we only had an inch of room. I just took it off one side, threw it over the roof of the car and took it off the other side, letting the snow fall on the ground. He immediately shook himself and I was able to flip the lid and put it in the trunk right away. Windows are absolutely clean. I don't know how this product will perform in an ice storm. I know that in this case the edges on the car stuck to the ice, but a slight tug detached the coating rubber and did not damage the car's paintwork.
